Effect of fabrication conditions on the atomic content of Cd(S) was exanined with poly-crystalline cadmium sulfied(CdS) thin films fabricated by chemical bath deposition(CBD) method for CdS/CdTe photoelectronic devices. To this end, substrate(ITO or soda lime glass), soultion temperature($55^{circ}C~85^{circ}C$) and ammonium concentration(0.5M~1.0M) were changed with a mixture of 0.05M Cd-acetate, 0.10M ammonium acetate, ammonium and 0.05M thiourea[$(NH_2)_2CS$]. Cd content of the film on an ITO glass was much larger than that on a soda lime glass. As $NH_4OH$ concentration was enhanced, Cd content was decreased. As the reasons for the results, both the surface chemical properties of the substrates and variation in incubation time for the deposition were assigned. To ascertain the assignments, results by SEM micro-structure and UV adsorption spectroscopies were also discussed.
