인공용기 및 바위구멍에 서식하는 토고숲모기(Aedes togoi) 유충의 개체군 밀도를 측정하기위한 효율적 조사방법을 개선하고자, 종래의 방법을 포함한 4가지의 채집방법을 이용하여 실험실내에서 10회 반복 실험을 실시하여 그 결과를 분석 평가한 바, meshed Sinking quadrat법이 P=0.75~0.50의 범위에 있어 유의성이 없는것으로 나타나 토고숲모기의 유충을 채집할 경우에는 meshed sinking quadrat법이 가장 효과적인 방법으로 평가되었다.
Studies on collection methods for the population density of aquatic stages of Aedes togoi in the rock-pools and sharrow pools were carried out by four different sampling methods using the dipper, the nylon netted dipper, the floating quadrat and the meshed sinking quadrat. Meshed sinking quadrat method were more effective than the other three methods(X$^2$=1.333; P<0.05, L.S.R.=2.92; P<0.01), and that shows highest reliability in collection of aquatic stages of Ae. togoi.
