Objectives : Every year tens of treatises have been published on the journal of oriental gynecology. But until now there were no papers on the analysis of those treatises and no efforts to evaluate them. Method : To analyze the treatises of journal of oriental gynecology, we examined 19 journals published from 1987 to 2001. There were no rules to analyze treatises, we followed the way of Seo, classifying treatises into bibliographic, experimental and clinical categories. Results and conclusions : 1. Until 1994 most of treatises were bibliographic but from 1995 experimental treatises were increased. 2. Many(29.5%) of them were studied about the diseases in pregnancy, Many(25.4%) of experimental treatises were reserched about the diseases on leukorrhea. 3. In the clinical treatises most of them were case reports. 4. In the bibliographic treatises 90% of them were studied about the classic contents categories. 5. In the clinical treatises the way of treatment showed about same percentage between single herb medication and acupuncture-herb medication complex.
