Red spider mite, Tetranychus cinnabarinus, was found infesting the brinjal crop in Jammu India. Fifteen insecticides or combinations thereof were evaluated for their efficacy. All insecticidal treatments were effective in reducing mite infestations. Resurgence of mite infestation was observed three days after pyrethroid treatment and from 14 days after application. The population was significantly higher than the pretreatment counts.
