최근 세계 자동차 시장을 중심으로 개방형 차량용 플랫폼에 대한 표준화 및 연구가 활발히 진행 중이다. 특히 유럽시장을 중심으로 GENIVI가 결성되어 오픈소스 기반의 플랫폼에 OEM의 요구사항을 취합한 미들웨어를 탑재하는 표준화 작업이 활발하다. 기존 차량용 플랫폼은 폐쇄적인 구조 때문에 개발적인 측면에서의 비효율성 등의 문제로 자동차 시장에서 그 입지가 좁아지고 있다. 이에 비해 GENIVI 플랫폼은 안정화된 리눅스를 기반으로 GENIVI 특화 컴포넌트를 미들웨어에 탑재하여 차량용 고유 표준 플랫폼을 지향하고 있어 개발 비용 및 시간을 절감할 수 있다. 세계 자동차 시장의 많은 업체들은 GENIVI 플랫폼을 기반으로 상용화 제품을 출시하기 위해 활발히 연구를 하고 있으며 2013년에 BMW를 시작으로 상용화 될 것으로 전망된다. 이에 따라 국내 기업들도 GENIVI 기반의 제품을 개발하기 위해 표준화 활동을 하고 있으며 아시아 전반으로 GENIVI 플랫폼에 대한 관심이 집중되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 GENIVI 플랫폼의 설립 배경과 구조, 현재 동향과 앞으로 진행될 계획에 대한 소개하고 GENIVI 플랫폼 기반의 차량용 GENIVI에 대한 설명과 실험 결과를 제시한다.
Recently, standardization and research about Open-source based vehicle platform are made process actively in the world vehicle market. Especially, in European vehicle market, GENIVI is organized. GENIVI standardizes that requirements achieved from OEM insert to middleware. The position of conventional vehicle platform narrows in the vehicle market because it is exclusive and inefficient when engineers develop systems. On the other hand, the components of GENIVI platform based on stable Linux are embedded on middleware. Also, GENIVI platform is the vehicle-oriented standard platform, it can save developing cost and time. Vehicle companies in the world are researching and developing GENIVI platform for releasing off-the-shelf product. It is expected that in 2013, BMW starts commercialize. Follow this, vehicle companies in Korea do standardize for development of GENIVI based products. A lot of Asian vehicle companies in Korea, India, China, Japan also focus on GENIVI platform. In this paper, we introduce the background and the structure of GENIVI platform, and trends and plans. Also, we describe the results of HMI based on GENIVI platform.
