IT산업의 발전과 함께 스마트기기의 사용량이 급격하게 늘어났으며 이에 따라 수많은 어플리케이션이 계속하여 증가하고 있다. 한편 악성코드나 음란물을 포함한 유해 어플리케이션의 증가가 어플리케이션 시장에서 문제가 되고 있으며. 특히 안드로이드 어플리케이션 시장에서 그 수가 빠르게 증가하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 안드로이드 플랫폼에서 인텐트 모니터링을 통한 유해 어플리케이션 차단 방법을 제안한다. 인텐트는 안드로이드 플랫폼에서 어플리케이션의 명령 수행을 위한 수단으로 어플리케이션의 설치 및 실행 명령을 수행한다. 본 논문에서는 안드로이드 플랫폼의 인텐트 관련 소스 코드 수정을 통해서 유해 어플리케이션 차단을 구현하였다. 이 방법을 이용하면 안드로이드 플랫폼에서 효율적으로 유해 어플리케이션을 차단하고 오버헤드를 줄일 수 있다.
With the rapid development of IT industry and the proliferation of smart devices, overwhelming amount of applications are being introduced on the market. At the same time, the increase of harmful applications containing malicious code and/or pornography has became a big problem in the application market. In particular, the number of harmful applications is rapidly increasing in the Android application market. In this paper, we propose a novel method for blocking harmful applications by Intent monitoring in the Android platform in order to solve the problem. We identified and modified selective Android source codes that deal with the application installation and launching tasks. Our method is believed to effectively block harmful applications and reduce unnecessary overhead in the platform.
