본 논문에서는 문자 인식 대상으로 한글을 고찰하고 지금까지의 필기 한글 인식 연구에 대하여 살펴보고자 한다. 먼저 필기 한글 인식 방법론의 개발을 위하여 고려해야 할 한글의 특징에 대하여 알아본 후,지금까지 연구된 필기 인식 방법론에 대하여 온라인 인식과 오프라인 인식분야로 구분하여,한국과학기술원에서의 연구를 중심으로 정리 해 본다. 주제어:온라인 문자인식,오르파인 문자인식,한글인식
The aim of this paper is to introduce Hangul as a recognition target and to review the research activities in online/offline handwritten Hangul recognition.At first,we describe the distincitive characteristics of Hangul in view of recognition task.Then the research results are summarized.Especially,The research direction at KAIST are explained in more detail as the state of the art of Hangul recognition research.
