이 연구는 저학년 학생을 대상으로 한 초등학교 고학년 학생의 책 읽어주기 활동이 책을 읽어준 고학년 학생의 독서성향과 독서태도에 미치는 영향과 저학년 학생의 교육적 변화를 파악하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 초등학교 5-6학년 도서반 학생의 책 읽어주기 활동 전 후를 비교 분석하였다. 고학년 학생이 저학년을 대상으로 책 읽어주기 활동은 고학년 학생이나 저학년 학생 모두에게 독서 성향 및 독서 태도에 효과가 있다는 것을 알 수 있으며, 학교생활 및 수업과의 연계에도 긍정적인 변화에 도움을 줄 수 있는 것으로 기대한다.
The purposes of this study is to find out how the seniors’ storytelling activity to juniors in elementary school affects the book reading tendencies and attitudes of seniors and to know the educational changes of juniors. Therefore, comparative analysis of the book reading tendency and attitude before and after carrying out this storytelling activity among the 5th and 6th graders of the book club in elementary school has been conducted. The result of the study showed that this storytelling activity has influential effect on the book reading tendency and attitude of seniors and juniors. And it will be helpful to improve their attitude in school and in class.
