본 연구는 유아교육현장에서의 인성교육활동이 유아의 리더십과 조망수용능력에 어떠한 영향 을 미치는지를 알아보기 위한 것이었다. 연구대상은 어린이집 2곳에 재원 중인 만 5세 43명 으로, K시의 I 어린이집 유아 22명은 실험집단에, B시의 Y 어린이집 유아 21명은 통제집단에 배정하였다. 실험집단에는 인성교육활동을, 통제집단에는 일반적인 주제중심활동을 실시하였 다. 인성교육활동은 10주간, 주 3회 실시되었다. 유아의 리더십은 이채호와 최인호가 개발한 교사용 유아 리더십 검사도구로, 조망수용능력은 Hudson 등이 개발한 조망수용능력 측정도구 로 측정하였다. 연구결과, 인성교육활동이 유아의 리더십 하위영역 중 주도성, 사교성, 민감성 을 향상시키며 타인의 의도를 조망하는 능력을 향상시키는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 인성교육프로그램을 개발할 필요성이 있다는 측면에서 논의되었다.
This study was to investigate the influence of personal education on young children’s leadership and perspective-taking ability. 43 young children aged 5 participated in this study, who were enrolled in 2 daycare centers. 22 young children in I Daycare Center were assigned to the experimental group, where the personal education was carried out. 21 young children in Y Daycare Center in a control group took the thesis-centered activities. The personal education was carried out for 10 weeks, 3 times a week. The young children’s leadership was measured by the Preschooler Leadership Rating Scale developed by Lee and Chol(2008), and the perspective-taking ability by the tool developed by Hudson, Forman and Brion (1982). The results showed that the personal education improved initiative, sociability and sensibility of young children. The perspective-taking ability of others’ intention was also increased in the experimental group. On the basis of this result, it was discussed that there needed to develop the personal education program.
