본 연구는 유치원의 문화시설 이용 실태와 어려움을 살펴보고, 조사결과를 바탕으로 지역사회 문화시 설 이용을 활성화 할 수 있는 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 연구대상은 안산시 교육청에 등록되어 있는 유 치원 교사 347명이며 연구참여자 8명과 삼각검증을 위한 참여자 3명에게 면담을 실시한 후, 설문자료 와 면담자료를 수집하여 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유치원에서 문화시설 이용 실태 를 알아 본 결과, 놀이터와 일반 도서관이 많았으며, 인터넷 상의 해당 웹 사이트 및 포털 사이트를 통하여 정보를 얻고 있었다. 유아의 문화시설 이용 계획시 결정권은 원장, 학부모, 교사가 가져야 한 다는 응답이 높은 반면, 실제로는 원장이 결정권을 가지고 있는 것으로 조사되었다. 둘째, 유치원에 서 문화시설 이용이 필요한 이유를 알아본 결과, 교사의 대부분은 유아에게 문화시설의 이용이 필요 하다고 응답하였다. 유아의 창의성 개발을 위해 문화시설이 필요하다는 응답이 높았고, 어린이 박물 관과 도서관이 유아발달을 위해 필요한 시설이라 하였다. 셋째, 유치원에서 문화시설 이용과 관련한 어려움을 알아본 결과, 접근이 용이한 인근지역에 문화시설 부재의 응답이 높았으며, 기타 의견으로 는 관람예절, 유아통솔의 어려움, 사전답사의 어려움이 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 유아의 문화경험 을 활성화하기 위한 기초자료와 실질적인 방안을 제공했다는 점에서 의의를 가질 수 있다.
The purpose of this study was to find status and difficulties cultual facility use of kindergartens and present the methods to activate cultural facility use in local community based on the research results. The 347 kindergarten teachers registered in Ansan local education authority were surveyed and the 8 kindergarten teachers among them were interviewed. Three participants were interviewed for triangulation. The results were as followed. First, children’s playground and library were used the most among cultural facilities. Kindergarten teachers got information about cultural facilities through internet web-site and portal. Actually, kindergarten directors had the decisions on planning the use of cultural facilities though it was desirable that decisions were made by agreement among director, parents, and teachers. Second, most kindergarten teachers answered that cultural facility use was needed in kindergarten education. The most important reasons to use cultural facility was to develop creativity. Children’s museum and children’s library were needed the most for children’s development. Third, the most difficulty to use cultural facility was absence of cultural facility nearby kindergarten. Other difficulties were cultural facility use etiquette, troubles with controlling children, and hardship to make preliminary survey. This study was meaningful that it provided the base data and the method to activate children’s use of cultural facility.
