The purpose of this study is to develop an emotional leadership program and investigate the changes
in day care center principals’ leadership. For the study, Considering the involvement of physicians day
care center principals, and carried out 32 times 5 months, 8 volunteered day care center principals were
selected and participated in emotional leadership program based on cartoons. Also, a qualitative case study
was carried out to investigate the changes in day care center director’s leadership. According to the collected
data, the changes in directors’ leadership are shown to be being more enthusiastic, passionate and
self-examination as an individual competence. Moreover, as a social competence, the directors experienced
positive influence of building social relationships through courteous communication and negotiation.
