This study was conducted to estimate PCDDs/DFs and Co-PCBs emission characteristic from
pyrolysis/ gasification /melting system. Most of the published literatures have reported
PCDDs/DFs and Co-PCBs emission concentration at stack. In this study, PCDDs/DFs and Co-PCBs
emission sampling and analysis were carried out at inlet and outlet of APCDs(Air Pollution
Control Devices) in three pyrolysis/ gasification/melting pilot plants, having different
furnaces(A : stoker + melting B : thermo-select, C : plasma) type. PCDDs/DFs removal
efficiency were A : 93.23% B : 79.80%, C : 85.87 % and PCDDs/DFs ratio increased across APCDs
in facility A and B, whereas it decreased in facility C. Co-PCBs emission were A : 126.31
pg-WHO TEQ/Sm3, B : 70.12 pg-WHO TEQ/Sm3, C : 149.54 pg-WHO TEQ/Sm3 and Co-PCBs removal
efficiency were as A : 83.3%, B : 87.00%, C : 47.90%. And we calculated relation equation
using real data between PCDDs/DFs and Co-PCBs concentrations.
