This study's purpose is to investigate the influence on the vicinity by air pollutant emitted from MSW
incinerator facility located at local city and to estimate the influence of the input weather data on the
modeling by using the Industrial Source Complex (ISC) model.
The results show that the measured average concentration of air pollutants at each site proved under the
level of national environmental standard. We also estimated the influence on the air qualities effected by
air pollutants emitted from incinerator facility using ISCST3 model. The added concentrations of PM10, SO2,
NO2, and Dioxin emitted from MSW incinerator facility to the air quality were 0.020~0.043 μg/m3, 0.05~0.11
ppb, 0.18~0.39 ppb, and 0.0391~0.0858×10-3 pgTEQ/Nm3, respectively. It is expected that each concentration
added to pollutants emitted from incinerator facility is about 0.014~2.85% prepared to present air
quality. Another goal of this study is to investigate the effect on summation concentration of air
pollution by input weather data. For the modeling of air quality of near incineration facilities area,
performed two kinds of weather data those are measured in target area and gained from local Weather
Bureau. The results showed much discrepancy: We concluded that the modeling for the assessment of air
quality on facilities causing environmental pollution should be performed by measured weather data in the
target area.
