이 연구에서는 초등학교에서 인성교육이 바람직하게 실천되기 위해서 고려되어야 할 다양 한 장애요인들과 그에 따른 개선 과제를 살펴보고자 하였다. 이에 따라 초등학교 교사들이 생각하고 있는 인성교육 실천상의 문제점을 학교 차원의 문제와 교사들의 인성교육 방법에 있어서의 문제로 나누어 살펴 보았다. 학교 차원의 문제들은 인성교육 실천에 있어서의 전반 적인 문제들과 교사들을 위한 현실적 지원의 문제, 그리고 교사 자신의 문제들을 살펴보았 고, 교사의 인성교육 방법의 문제로서 특별활동 및 교과지도의 문제, 행동지도 위주의 인성교 육 문제, 그리고 인성교육 실시의 효과성 문제 등의 측면에서 살펴보았다. 그리고 그러한 문 제점들에 대한 하나의 대안으로서 초등학교 인성교육의 발전을 위한 개선 과제들을 제시하 였다.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the current problem and task of the humanity education of elementary school. This research problems were investigated by analysing antecedent studies about the teachers’ awareness of the humanity education in the elementary school. The study problems were analysed by two dimensions, that is, school level and teacher level. In the school level, there were several problems in the area of value, supporting system, and the staff for the humanity education in the elementary school. And in the teacher level, there were the problem of generalized and extra curriculum, the method of guidance and counseling and the effect of the humanity education in the elementary school. According to the problems, several tasks for improving the humanity education in the elementary school were suggested.
