본 연구의 목적은 학교폭력 예방을 위한 공감 훈련 프로그램을 구안하여 그 효과를 알아보 고자 하는 것이다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 초등학교에 재학 중인 5학년 학생 22명 을 대상으로 실험집단 및 통제집단을 구성하여 프로그램을 실시하였다. 프로그램은 10회기로 구성되었으며, 주 1회씩 2시간 동안 실시하였다. 프로그램의 구성은 학교 상황에서의 폭력 문 제를 주제로 한 공감 상황을 중심으로 하였다. 본 연구의 결과, 학교폭력 예방프로그램은 아 동의 공감 능력 향상에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 이 연구에서의 학 교폭력 예방프로그램이 학교폭력 상황에서의 아동의 공감능력을 향상시키는데 기여될 수 있 음을 시사하고 있다.
The purposoe of this study was to develop the empathy training program for school violence prevention of the children. The subjects in this study were 22 selected fifth-grade students in an elementary school. They were divided as expriment group and control group. The program was provided in 10 sessions through ten weeks. The findings of the study were as follows: The empathy training was effective to improve the empathy skills for children. The findings of the study imply that the empathy training for school violence prevention serves to improve children's empathy skills and there would be the effect to decrease the school violence. Therefore the empathy training for school violence prevention is not only expected to enhance children's desirable empathy skills but to prevent school violence for children. Given the findings of the study, the empathy training program for preventing school violence is expected to be in wide use at school to boost children's empathy skills and to prevent school violence.
