Nowadays we have developed new textbooks of elementary moral education based on 2009 national
curriculum of moral education. As we know very well, the textbooks play the decisive roles in elementary
moral education in this country. So if we really want to practice good moral education in schools and
bring up desirable character-virtues in our children, we must know the textbooks accurately and strive to
use them very effectively. So, in order to contribute to this purpose, I have tried to introduce and give
some good explanations about the systems and structures of the textbooks of elementary moral education.
In addition, I inquired and suggested the process and methods of the moral teaching-learning that are
practiced in using the textbooks in elementary classes. Also, I explained the differences and main
characteristics of the textbooks between 3-4 grade and 5-6 grade. And finally, I suggested some things that
we have to considerate when we use the textbooks in elementary moral education.
