본 연구의 목적은 교육대학원 유아교육전공과정에 등록한 학습자를 대상으로 실시한 구성 주의 교사교육의 의의를 파악하는 것이었다. 이를 위해 B시에 소재하고 있는 교육대학원 유 아교육전공 석사과정에 재학 중인 7명의 현직 유치원 교사들이 연구대상으로 참여하여 매주 3시간씩 14주에 걸쳐 구성주의적 유아교수법에 관한 이론적 탐색, 실제적 교수경험 계획 및 실시, 수업사례 관찰 및 분석, 토론과 반성적 일지 작성을 하였고, 연구자 모두 이 과정에서 참여관찰일지, 교사들의 면담 및 반성적 저널, 수업동영상 자료를 수집하여 자료를 분석하였 다. 자료 분석결과 참여 교사들은 본 교사교육을 통해 실천적 지식 획득, 토론에의 적응, 학 습공동체 필요성을 인식하게 되었고, 나아가 유아의 능력 및 교사역할에 대한 새로운 발견, 반성적 사고습관 형성, 개입, 발문, 협동에 대한 민감성 발달, 구성주의적 유아교육 실천에의 의지를 갖게 된 것으로 나타났다.
The purpose of this study is to explore the meaning of a constructive approach to teacher education for early childhood teachers enrolled in graduate school of education. Seven early childhood teachers from kindergartens in Busan participated in this study. The participants explored constructivist theoretical background, made constructivist lesson plans and applied it to their classroom, observed and analyzed constructivist teaching cases and discussed them, and wrote reflective journals every 3 hours during 14 weeks. Data were collected via participant observations, reflective journals, in-depth interviews, and recorded video from participants. The results showed that constructive teacher education program enabled the participants to adapt constructivist teaching methods. Also the participants were able to fulfill constructivist pedagogy in their classroom practices. These results imply the need for constructivism in-service teacher education program of graduate school of education.
