This study attempts to develop the emotional regulation program utilizing Food Art Therapy(FAT), which contributes to enhance self-efficacy, mitigate negative emotion and regulate emotion effectively in child and youth. FAT emotional regulation program proceeds on four processes of ‘welcoming’, ‘accepting’, ‘entering’ and ‘receiving’, which are framework in FAT, and consists of 12 structured group counseling sessions. In the sessions, resources related to the sea and its image and feeling of freedom and liberty were mainly used in order to facilitate the participation motivation of child and youth. The program is considered to promote positive self-regulation through self-understanding and self-love, which is differentiated from art therapy programs focusing on emotional expression, and to be utilized in education and counseling field.
