Objective : The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of comic contents on learning achievement
for students. In addition, This study was investigate the preference for learning materials form.
Methods : This study verified the learning effects of the comic contents by measuring the understanding of
the experimental group(using a comic contents, 36 people) and control group(using a text book,
36 people). After learning effects measurement is completed, it provides both worksheets to both
groups, and the questionnaire was to writing preference for learning materials form.
Results : First, the study group using a comic contents showed a higher understanding than the text book
study group. Second, the preference for the comic contents learning materials showed significantly
higher than the text book in holistic interesting, continuation of the interesting, concentration,
intimacy, causing concern for the topic, causing concern about the course and reliability.
Conclusion : As a result, a study using the comic contents can enhance the interest, as well as the learning
effect for students. While this study was confined to the musculoskeletal occupational therapy
curriculum, it is expected to be utilized as a significant learning materials to learners in other
subjects and health care education. In future studies, it is necessary to study systematically for
educational programs using comic contents.
