Objective : The purpose of this study was to survey the life satisfaction related exercise status related to
labor of the semi-aged workers.
Methods : In total, 905 semi-aged workers ≥55 years of age from eight geographical areas were
evaluated from 2007 to 2008. The subjects’ exercise status, life satisfaction were investigated
each participant’s exercise status, life satisfaction were performed and rated on a scale of 1 to
3 (1, good; 2, fair; 3, poor). SPSS version 18.0 software was used for statistical analysis.
Results : First, More than three times a week exercise group life satisfaction mean score 1.56±0.52.
Second, Less than twice a week exercise group life satisfaction mean score 1.69±0.47. Third,
Not nearly exercise group life satisfaction mean score 1.81±0.49. higher exercise worker group
had better life satisfaction than did lower exercise worker group(P < 0.05).
Conclusion : The result of this study semi-elderly workers showed that higher exercise worker group had
better life satisfaction than did lower exercise worker group(P < 0.05). In order to secure
producing population against aging society, it is needed to manage physical condition of
elderly workers through various health management programs.
