Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the multicultural acceptability and social distance among nursing college
students. Method: The participants included 218 college students by a convenience sample method. Data were collected
from November, 1 to 30 and analyzed using SPSS/PC Win 12.0 program. Result: The major finding were as
follows. First, The mean scores of multicultural acceptability and social distance were 3.29 and 2.73. Second, Multicultural
acceptability was differenced according to existence of foreign friend, experience of foreign language course, residence
experience of foreign country and necessity of multicultural education. Third, Social distance was differenced according to
existence of foreign fiend and necessity of multicultural education. Conclusion: Therefore, It is needed to be developed
the courses of multiculural education and experience to reduce the social distance.
