노동유연화에 따른 고용불안정은 근로자의 우울감에 부정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 본 연구는 고용불안정이 우울감에 미치는 영향을 파악하고, 우울감에 대한 고용불안정 과 경제수준의 상호작용효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해, 한국복지패널조사(KOWEPS) 1~4차 자료 중 고용형태가 표기되어 있는 1,963명의 근로자를 대상으로 이항 로지스틱 회귀분석을 사용하여 고용형태의 변화 유형과 가처분소득의 상호작용의 우울감과의 관 련성을 검증하였다. 연구결과, 비정규직 유지군의 우울감 수준이 정규직 유지군에 비해 유의하게 높았고, 가처분소득이 높을수록 우울감은 낮았다. 분석결과를 토대로 고용불안 정이 높은 비정규직 근로자의 우울감을 완화․예방할 수 있는 정책적, 실천적 방안을 제언하였다.
Employment instability due to labor flexibility may negatively affect mental health among workers. This study aims to identify the relationship between job instability and depression and to investigate moderating effect of economic status on this relationship. Using data of 1,963 workers from the first through fourth Korea Welfare Panel Study (KOWEPS), binary logistic regression was performed to examine the interaction effect between job status change and disposable income on depressive mood. Findings from this study indicated that the depressive levels of maintaining temporary workers was higher than those of maintaining regular workers. However, depression levels of maintaining temporary workers found to be decreased if their disposable income was higher. Based on the findings, politic and practical strategies were discussed to reduce the depressive levels of maintaining temporary workers with higher job instability.
