The purpose of this study is to analyze research trends on technostress that have been conducted in South
Korea. Additionally this study will provide suggestions for further research. In this study, 20 recent research papers (10 international
and 10 Korean articles) of academic journals were analyzed to propose technostress research trends. For analysis process,
previously used measurement instruments were used which analyzed literature review of technostress. The results reflect
that the research context of technostress was more focused on workplaces in business rather than personal or private usages. In
addition, the research context was focused on using technology mandatorily in order to increase working productivity, and
most researches mentioned that this inevitable condition caused technostress. The objects of research context can be roughly
divided into two, organizations and schools (up to K-16), and the organization related to technostress occupied the majority. It
is confirmed that more research needs to be conducted for the educational purpose. The following examples of practical alternatives
will be discussed in this paper; personal usage, sub-division of technostress, and diversified measures of technostress.
This study is fully expected to contribute to further studies by providing basic information in order to accelerate more challenging
and innovative studies that could be possible in this field.
