The patriots and veterans affairs have designated certain holidays and organize various events to commemorate the noble sacrifices and contributions made for our nation and to preserve their legacy throughout the following generations. Such days and events are opportunities for patriots, veterans, and their bereaved families to feel proud and appreciation, and for the citizens to renew their sense of patriotism. The mission of patriots and veterans affairs is to honor and serve those who have dedicated their lives and sacrificed for our country, and to preserve and promote their patriotic spirit. And the strategic goals of patriots and veterans affairs are to promote the spirit of patriotism and contribute to national development. The objective of this study is to analysis of the consciousness on patriots and veterans in selected OECD countries. The analysis of the consciousness on patriots and veterans was composed of the national pride and the will of protecting the homeland. The selected OECD countries are seven countries such as Korea, the United States, Japan, Germany, Australia, New Zealand and Turkey. The analysis of the selected OECD countries was carried out through consciousness-level analysis and impact factor analysis. Moreover, the study suggests policy implications for the patriots and veterans affairs.
