The purpose of this study was to investigate moderating effects of social support between
client violence experience and organizational commitment of workers at community
rehabilitation center. Data were collected from 176 who were working at 12 community
rehabilitation centers. Results showed that workers at community rehabilitation center had
experienced most verbal abuse. Significant effecting variables on organizational commitment
were verbal abuse, peer support and family support. Among social supports, especially peer
support had a moderating effect on the relationship between the client verbal abuse experience
and organizational commitment. Based on these results, suggestions were the need to prevent
and to cope with clients violence including training, supervision program and formal response
system in the community rehabilitation center.
