In this study, 3D printer-based climate STEAM program was developed to design and manufacture
the appropriate technology products. The purpose of the study was to determine the impact on scientific
inquiry activity, creative problem solving abilities and STEAM attitude of scientifically gifted elementary
students. The STEAM program was applied to 30 students of 2 classes in J university scientific gifted
institute. As the application results, the gifted students increased significantly in scientific inquiry activity,
creative problem solving abilities and STEAM attitude. Also, in STEAM satisfaction test result, gifted
students felt the importance of the problem solving process with friends, this STEAM program can be used
as a useful learning materials in the gifted education. Therefore, 3D printer-based climate STEAM program
improved attention to the seriousness of climate change to gifted students. In future, it is required the
development of the STEAM program related to climate change.
