환경교육의 가장 중요한 목적은 학생들로 하여금 인간과 환경과의 관계를 이해하도록 하는 것이다. 이 연구에서는 동아리 활동을 위한 기후변화교육 프로그램이 초등학생의 기후변화에 대한 인식, 태도 및 환경 적 세계관에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 동아리 활동을 위한 기후변화교육 프로그램을 개발하고, 16명의 초등학생을 대상으로 적용하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 동아리활동을 위한 기후 변화교육 프로그램은 초등학생의 기후변화에 대한 인식과 태도 변화에 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 둘째, 동아리 활동을 위한 기후변화교육 프로그램은 긍정적인 환경적 세계관 함양에 효과적이었다. 수업에 참여한 초등학생 들은 자연의 권리와 생태계의 위기에 대해 보다 잘 인지하게 되었고, 사회 환경문제를 과소평가하거나 무시하 지 말아야 한다는 세계관으로 긍정적인 변화가 있었다.
The main goal of environmental education is to develop students’ sense of the relationship between humans and the environment. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of climate change education program for club activity on recognition, attitude about climate change and environmental worldview of primary school students. We developed climate change education program for club activity and applied to 16 elementary students. The results were as follows. First, climate change education program for club activity gave a significant influence on recognition and attitude about climate change Second, climate change education program for club activity gave a significant influence on increasing environmental worldview. Elementary school students who participated in the class became more aware of the natural rights and the ecological crisis, and there has been a positive change in their worldview that social environment issues should not be underestimated or ignored.
