The purpose of this study is to investigate influence of appraisal to attitude of elementary school physical education classes according to beliefs of athletic ability. The subjects are 623 elementary school students(boys: 316, girls: 307) who live in G province now. This study use children’s beliefs of athletic ability(Kim, 2013), appraisal scale in physical education(Jons et al., 2009) and attitude scale of physical education(Silverman, 2000). The analysis of collected data is conducted by explanatory factor analysis for verifying construct validity of measurement variables, verified the effect of appraisal to attitude according to beliefs through multiple-regression. According to the research results, boys show higher increasement beliefs, challenge than those of girls, but boys show lower threat than that of girls. There are significant relation between incremental and entity beliefs, and challenge, there are negative relation between threat and incremental beliefs and challenge, attitude and increasement, and challenge, but negative relation between attitude and threat. In regression analysis, incremental beliefs and entity beliefs have positive influence to challenge, incremental beliefs have positive influence to threat but entity beliefs have negative influence to threat. Incremental beliefs and challenge have positive influence to attitude but threat has negative influence to attitude.
