The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of sports club league on the physical intrinsic motivation and learning attitude, sports character of elementary school students. One hundred eighty-six(186) fifth and sixth grade students from E elementary school participated in the study. Ninety(90) students participated in the sports club league, Ninety-six(96) students did not participate in the sports club league. They were selected with the consent of students and homeroom teachers. After sports club league, questionnaires were conducted to compare physical intrinsic motivation, learning attitude and sports character between participation and non-participation students. Data were analyzed by independent sample t test at the level of significance .05. The results of the study were as follows: First, participation students scored significantly higher with regards to intrinsic motivation, learning attitude and sports character than the other students. Second, In gender comparison, male and female participation students scored significantly higher than the non participation. In conclusion, A variety of intramural and suburban sports club league will be effective in increasing physical intrinsic motivation, learning attitude, sports character of elementary school students. This study can suggest the activation of sports club league for more efficient running of sports club.
