This study aims at exploring the directing points of media education in knowledge information society, considering new technologies and media. For the purpose, shift to the ways of communications and knowledge formation, educational paradigm in the society were analyzed by new technologies and media. And I proposed to educational needs and a desirable human character, direction of media education in knowledge information society by theoretical viewpoints of media education. In conclusion, media education in knowledge information society is life-world focused, aims to develop participatory actions and critical thought for learners. To this end, educators should be practical intellectual and learners should be developed the capacity to take the lead in social change through the "collective intelligence" of the community. Schools should serve to create community culture as fields of democracy.
