본 연구는 북한이탈 여성의 신체상과 외모관리 행동 및 심리사회적 건강과의 관련성을 확인하기 위한 연구이며, 2014년 12월부터 2015년 2월까지 일부 도시의 북한이탈여성 총 201명의 자료를 분석 하였다. 자료는 SPSS 21.0을 이용하여 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 신체상은 5점 만점에 2.65±1.02점으로 조사되었다. 외모관리 행동은 5점 만점에 2.67±0.97점이 며, 대상자들은 메이크업과 의복관리 행동을 많이 하지만 운동, 섭식 행동은 평균보다 낮은 것으로 조사되었다. 또한, 심리사회적 건강 점수는 평균 42.95±5.69점으로 대상자의 99.5%가 고위험군으로 나 타났다. 둘째, 대상자의 신체상은 연령, 비만도 및 체중조절의사에 따른 유의한 차이를 보였으며, 외모관리 행동에서는 외모관리 하위 영역별 차이는 있으나, 연령, 성형관심도, 재북시 직업과 유의한 차이를 보 였다. 또한 심리사회적 건강은 연령에서 유의한 차이를 보였다. 셋째, 대상자의 신체상은 외모관리 행동, 비만도 및 체중감소의도와 통계적으로 유의한 상관관계를 보였다. 외모관리 행동 각 하위 영역간 유의한 정적 상관관계를 보였다. 심리사회적 건강은 메이크업 과 의복관리행동, 연령과 유의한 상관관계를 보였다. 또한 일반적 특성에서는 연령, 비만도와, 체중감 소의도 및 성형관심도가 유의한 상관관계를 보였다. 따라서, 본 연구는 북한이탈여성들의 자신의 외모와 신체에 대한 긍정적인 이미지 형성 및 외모관 리행동, 심리사회적 건강을 위한 프로그램 개발의 기초자료로 활용될 것이라 기대한다.
This study was conducted to provide baseline database by investigating the relationship among body image, general appearance management behavior and psychosocial health of women defected North Korea. From December 2014 to February 2015, total 201 participants were enrolled in this study. The data were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 program. The results were as follows: 1) The score of body image was 2.65±1.02 in 5 points. And the score of general appearance However exercise, food intake behaviors of subjects were lowerer than average. Psychosocial health score was 42.95±5.69. Whole 99.5% was high risk group. 2) There were significant correlation among the body image, general appearance management behavior, BMI and intent weight loss. In general appearance management behavior, there were significant positive correlation between sub categories. Psychosocial health revealed positive correlation with make-up and clothing management behaviors and age. Also in general characteristics, there were significant correlation among the age, BMI, intent weight loss and interest toward plastic surgery. Therefore, it would be utilized in developing programs for the positive body image building and appearance management behaviors. Moreover, it could be helped they have psychosocial health
