The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence that the everyday stress of day care center
teachers has on their mental state and level of life satisfaction. For this study, a survey was conducted on
215 teachers of day care centers in Seoul from June 3 to December 5, 2014. The analysis was made using
the SPSS program to conduct the correlation analysis, factorial analysis, frequency analysis, etc. The
research results showed that, first, the everyday stress of day care center teachers has a significant effect
on their mental state. Second, the mental state of day care center teachers has a significant effect on their
level of life satisfaction. These results showed that their mental state was more favorable the lower their
everyday stress, and their level of life satisfaction was higher the more favorable their mental state. The
implications of this study are expected to become basic data for the development of an effective program
to enhance the mental state and level of life satisfaction of day care center teachers through everyday
stress and for the improvement of working conditions.
