Currently, there are many researches about physical symptoms of immobility, but psychological problems caused by immobility are not considered. Therefore, this study intends to discover various psychological problems that could be caused by immobility through nursing students' experience of immobility, and find out what significance the immobility experience can give to the nursing students. Data were collected from 6 nursing students between June 15 and June 30, 2015 via group interview method and intensive interviews. The collected data were analyzed with phenomenological method of Giorgi applied. The result showed that the nursing students experienced physical inconvenience(uncomfort, pain and numbness) and psychological inconvenience(tedium, depression and loneliness), and that they perceived recognition change(empathy, sense of duty and realization) and lack of nursing resources(lack of manpower and time). Through this, nursing students' recognition about immobility patients was changed. When they become nurses, they can fully understand inconvenience that immobility patients feel, and accordingly they can fulfill good quality of nursing tasks.
