본 연구는 충남에 소재한 S대학교의 핵심역량 교양교육과정을 개발하는 것에 목적을 두었다. 이러 한 목적을 달성하기 위해 충남 S대학교의 교양교육과정 현황을 분석하고, 한국대학교육협의회 산하 한국기초교양교육원 정보공시 사이트에 탑재된 4년제 대학 146개교의 교양교육과정을 분석하였다. 분 석결과를 충남 S대학교의 교양교육 질 개선을 위한 방향 설정을 위한 근거 및 개선 방안을 마련하는 데 필요한 기초자료로 활용함으로서 핵심역량에 근거한 교양교육과정을 개발하였다. 교양교육과정은 의사소통능력, 자기관리능력, 시민의식, 대인관계능력, 창의적 사고능력, 문제해결 능력, 정보처리능력 등 7가지의 핵심역량을 바탕으로 기초교양, 인성교양, 핵심교양, 일반교양으로 영 역을 구성하였다. 또한, 각 영역에 따른 하위 영역을 추가적으로 구성하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 대학교육에서 교양교육이 차지하는 위상과 의미를 제고해 보았다는 데서 의의를 갖으며, 또한 향후 핵심역량 교양교육과정에 근거한 교과목 개발에 기초자료를 제공해 주었다는 데에 의의가 있다.
The purpose of this study was to develop liberal arts curriculum based on the key competency for the S university in the Chungcheongnam-do. In order to attain the purpose, researcher analyzed the liberal arts curriculum of the S university and web-site of the Korea National Institute for General Education in the Korean Council for University Education including 146 university. Based on the analysis results, by providing the basic data needed to prepare a basis for the improvement and direction setting for the liberal education of S university, this study was developed liberal curriculum based on the key competency. Liberal arts curriculum was composed of basis liberal arts, personality liberal arts, core liberal arts and general liberal arts based on key competencies such as communication skills, self-management skills, citizenship, interpersonal skills, creative thinking skills, problem solving skills, information processing capabilities. In addition, the sub-category was constructed for each additional category. The results for this study were to be significant in terms of enhancing the status in the liberal arts education and providing basic data in the courses design based on the liberal arts curriculum of the key competency.
