본 연구는 한국노인의 자살률을 예방 및 감소시키고, 고령사회의 해법을 모색하고자, 가장 실제적 인 한국의 현실을 보여주는 국내 인터넷 신문의 노인자살 기사를 검색하여 분석하고, 한계점을 진단 하였다. 본 연구를 위하여 사용된 자료는 1990년부터 2015년 까지 국내 인터넷 신문에 노인자살을 키 워드로 검색된 뉴스자료 500여 편 가운데, 노인자살 원인에 직접 관련된 215개의 기사를 분석하였다. 연구결과, 노인자살의 직접적인 원인으로 건강, 가정, 경제, 외로움, 주변 환경, 기타 등의 원인으로 분석되었다. 1990년대에는 가정문제가 주된 원인이며, 2000년대에는 건강문제, 2010년 이후부터 지금 까지는 건강과 가정문제 뿐만 아니라, 복잡 다양한 원인으로 자살요인이 증가 하였으나, 예방대책은 미흡한 것으로 분석되었다. 결론적으로, 취약한 독거, 남성, 우울, 초고령, 장애 노인들에 대한 지원을 국가사회적 차원에서 강화해야 하며, 지속가능한 위기개입 전략을 지역사회 중심으로 시행하여, 체계 적인 시스템의 개선과 융복합적인 실천전략이 수행되어야 할 것이다.
This purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the suicide articles about the elderly in domestic internet newspapers, which show the reality of Korea very well, to diagnose limitations in order to prevent and reduce the suicide rate of the elderly in Korea and to find solutions for an aged society. The data used for this study were 215 news articles related to the cause of elderly suicide among the 500 news articles searched for in internet newspapers from 1990 to 2015 through the key words of elderly suicide. As a result, the direct causes of the suicide were found to be health, family, finance, loneliness, surrounding environment, etc. In the 1990s, family problems were the main cause and in the 2000s, health problems, from 2010 until now, not only health and family problems, but also other complicated and diverse causes. While suicide factors increased, the preventive measures were insufficient. In conclusion, it is necessary to strengthen the support for vulnerable elderly who are living alone, male, depressed, or super aged and elderly with disabilities at the national and social levels, and to implement sustainable crisis intervention strategies at the local community level. Also, systematic system improvement and complex implementation strategies should be carried out as well.
