The purpose of this study was to analyze educational objectives of science subject in
the basic curriculum of the 7th special school curriculurn and learning objectives of natural
environment field in science textbooks by using Klopfer' s taxonomic system. It was
analyzed that general objectives of science subject and four sub- educationa1 objectives set
category of knowledge and understanding(A.O), scientific inquiry process(B.O- E.O),
application of knowledge and method(F.O), and attitude and interest(H.O) areas in
educational objectives divisions of Klopfer. As the result of analyzing learning objectives of
natural environment field in science textbooks, knowledge and understanding (A.O),
scientific inquiry process(B.O- E.O), application of knowledge and method(F.O) set in the
educational objectives of science subject were formed and the category of attitude and
interest(H.O) was not set. This study analyzed learning objectives of natural environmental
area among six ones of special science subject (1, 2, 3), but it showed it never reflected
the category of attitude and interest presented in the general & sub educational objectives
Therefore, in reorganizing the next curriculum, contents of a science subject should be
made with connection between requiring educational objectives in curriculurn and learning
objectives in science textbooks.
