Achondroplasia is a congenital disease caused by abnormalities in the cartilage. Many of these children also attend kindergartens or day"care centers. However, there are no clear preca utions on how to care for these children. This thesis describes the appropriate attention needed at kindergartens and day"care centers for the safety of achondroplastic children. < Cautions for caring > ( 1) Attention from an environmental point"of"view ( 2) Observing respiratory conditions ( 3) Activities of daily living (The child will be encouraged to do what they can do themselves, and the care"provider will help them if they cannot perform the activity.) ( 4 ) Guiding other children (The neck of achondroplastic children cannot be strained while playing. Their arms should not be pulled .)
