It is the purpose of this study to compare the life-feeling of female athletes of wheelchair basketball with physical disability who live in the different countries. The examinee was totally 48 athletes of USA, Canada, Australia and J apan who participated in The 2009 International Wheelchair Basketball Friendship Games Osaka Cup which was took place from February 18 to 21, 2009. A questionnaire which was consisted of 6 questions was conducted to the athletes. The questions were as fo l1ows; 1) Trigger to play wheelchair basketball 2) Purpose to play wheelchair basketball 3) Outcome through playing wheelchair basketball 4) Change through athlete-life 5) Future plan of the life after retirement 6) Awareness of existence-feeling In addition, the profile of each athlete (Age, Age to be with disability, congenital disability, length between the incidence of disability and the start of playing the sport, totallength of being the athlete, classification) was inquired as well. The results of the questionnaire were analyzed and considered through the following aspects : 1) Comparison of the characteristics of Japan and the other 3 countries. 2) Comparison of the characteristics from the continental point of view as Asia, Oceania and North America. Since the number of registered athletes was required to 12 for each team, the total examinee should be 48. But both Australia and Canada respectively had 11 and USA had 9, so the total examinee was 43 . This was why the application of statistical methods were regarded as of inappropriate for the analysis. The main consideration were summarized as follows; 1) The life-feeling was almost same among the 4 countries . 2) The evaluation of a nation doesn’t contain the ranking of the welfare state. 3) The world-Adapted sports (the sports for athletes with disability) are changing so quickly. 4) From Ministry of Health and Welfare to Ministry of Education 5) Future development of this research
