In this study, we would like to shed light on barriers faced by buggy users and children while moving around. We dlstributed questionnaire to 447 parents who were using buggies in their day to day life and 435 parents having young children between 2 - 5 years of age We could verify that barriers felt by buggy users are similar to the barriers usually felt by wheelchair users , viz , roads with irregular surface, steps on sidewalks , covers on street gutters, slope and tactile ground surface indicators. Moreover, it also became clear that buggy users as well as parents having young children have experienced barriers formed by people such as being treated as "obstacle" by people around and "about to hit the cycle that would pass at a furious speed from near by" I Needless to say that it is important to gradually eliminate physical barriers such as removing unevenness on streets and installing elevators and slopes, it is more important for common people to un derstand the hazards faced by children and problems faced by buggy users , extend th eir support, ob serve public manners, and gradually reduce the barriers created by themselves.
