한국형 Bayley 영유아발달검사의 수행을 보고한 연구를 통해 영유아의 발달수행을 분석하고, 수행과 상관을 보인 변인들의 효과크기를 알아보기 위해 메타분석을 실시하였다. 2003-2017 년 사이 발간된 학술지와 학위 논문 중 정상 영유아를 대상으로 K-BSID-II 및 K-BSID-III를 실시한 40개 연구를 분석하였다. K-BSID-II를 사용한 논문 24편에서 인지척도의 수행은 동작 척도 수행보다 높았고 두 지수모두 평균은 정상 범주였다. K-BSID-III를 사용한 논문은 16편 이었고, 각 척도수행도 정상 범주에 해당하였다. 두 검사 비교 시 2판보다 3판에서의 발달지 수가 높았다. 상관을 보고한 논문 16편에서 44개의 상관이 보고되었고, 상관의 효과크기분석 결과 평균적으로 작은 효과크기를 약간 초과하였다. 상관변인을 아동 및 환경 요인으로 구 분 시 아동 요인의 효과가 더 컸으며 상징놀이가 가장 큰 효과크기를 보였다. 이를 바탕으로 조기중재 및 후속연구를 위한 제언을 하였다.
This study examined the performance of the Korean Bayley Scales of Infant Development(K-BSID-Ⅱ & K-BSID-Ⅲ) and the effects of correlated variables by conducting meta analyses. Through a literature review of theses and papers published during 2003-2017, forty studies that reported developmental indices were selected for the present analyses. Twenty-four studies that reported K-BSID-II performances showed average-level scores in both the cognitive and performance scales. Sixteen studies that analyzed K-BSID-III performances also reported average level scores in all scales. The comparison between K-BSID-II & K-BSID-III performances showed slightly higher scores in K-BSID-III than K-BSID-II. Sixteen studies that analyzed variables correlated with developmental indices revealed forty-four correlation coefficients that were divided into individual and environmental factors. Meta analyses using SAS showed that individual factors had higher effects than environmental factors: Symbolic play showed the highest effect size. Overall the effect size was precisely above the cutoff for small effect sizes. Implications and suggestions for future studies and early intervention were discussed.
