본 연구의 목적은 청소년동반자의 활동경험을 이해하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 청소년동반자활동 을 1년 이상 해온 청소년동반자 7명을 대상으로 포커스 그룹 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 인터뷰는 참가 자들의 동의를 얻어 녹음하였으며, 내용을 전사하여 자료를 분석하였다. 그 결과, 첫째, 청소년동반 자 지원동기는 ‘상담자 경험과 성장’, ‘청소년에 대한 관심과 지원’, ‘자아실현’ 등 3개의 범주로 구분 되었다. 둘째, 청소년동반자 활동경험은 ‘비정규직의 서러움’, ‘찾아가는 상담의 어려움’, ‘달라지는 내 담자를 보는 보람’, ‘상담전문가로서의 성장’ 등 4개의 범주로 나타났다. 셋째, 청소년동반자사업의 발전을 위한 제언에는 ‘근무환경의 개선’, ‘사업운영과정의 효율성제고’, ‘청소년동반자에 대한 심리적 지원의 필요성’ 등 3개의 범주로 나뉘었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 시사점과 제언을 제시하였다.
The purpose of this study is to understand the experiences of youth companions activity. For this, 7 counselors with experiences youth companion over 1 year were interviewed as a focused group. Interviews were recorded with the consent of the participants and the contents were transferred for an analysis. As a result, first, the reasons of working as youth companions were summarized into three categories: ‘experience and development of counselor’, ‘attention and support for adolescents’ and ‘self-realization’. Second, the career experiences as youth companions were come out into four categories: ‘sorrow of contract-based workers’, ‘challenges of visiting counseling’, ‘satisfaction from seeing changes of client’ and ‘development as counseling specialist’. Lastly, plans to invigorate the program of youth companions fell into three categories: ‘improvement of working environment’, ‘increasing operational efficiency of business’ and ’psychological support for youth companions’. Based on these findings, conclusion and implications were discussed.
