Most of the health habits are formed over a long period of time, Once formed, the health habits are
hard to fix. Early adolescent college students may be able to provide healthy adulthood by acquiring and
using various information related to health care. It is necessary to grasp the relevance of oral health
education conducted by pre-learning in school age to oral health behavior. The purpose of this study was
to establish the direction of oral health education and to grasp the actual condition and necessity of oral
health education for university students in early adulthood. Therefore the purpose of this study was to
investigate the effect of oral hygiene education for dental hygiene students on oral health. From April 12
to April 26, 2017, students from Dental Hygiene Department 1, 2, 3, 4 who had oral health education at Busan Metropolitan City D University were investigated. As a result of this study, there was a significant
difference in oral health knowledge, attitude and behavior according to experience of oral health education.
