21세기 교육의 패러다임은 미래 인재 양성에 초점을 두고 있으며 각 교과에서는 미래 인재의 핵심 능력인 사고력과 문제해결력, 창의력을 기를 수 있는 다양한 교수 방법을 연구하고 있다. 일반적인 수업 양상을 뒤집는 거꾸로 교실은 음악교과의 수업에 효율적인 방법을 제시할 수 있다. 음악 교과의 수업은 기본적으로 활동을 위한 학습자의 능동적인 참여가 필요하며, 개별학습과 협력학습이 모두 가 능하며, 학습자의 수준 차이의 범위가 넓다. 이에 본 연구에서는 음악교과에 거꾸로 교실 이론의 적 용이 보다 효율적인 교과 심화학습이 가능하리라 전제하고 음악교과에의 적용 가능성을 중심으로 거 꾸로 교실 이론에 대해 알아보았다. 먼저 음악교과의 전통적 특성에 대해 제시하고, 거꾸로 교실 이 론을 적용 한 음악교실 안과 밖의 수업단계 제시를 통해 거꾸로 교실의 음악교과에의 적용가능성에 관하여 살펴보았다. 그 결과 거꾸로 교실을 음악 교과에 적용 했을 경우 학습자 중심의 음악수업, 순 환하는 음악활동 과정, 학습 환경의 확장과 변화 등의 시사점을 도출하였다.
The paradigm of 21st century education focuses on cultivating talented person for future. In each subject including music, various teaching methods are performed and studied to develop thinking skill, problem solving ability and creativity, which are core competencies of future talented person. The flipped classroom, inverting the general aspect of classroom teaching, can suggest an effective way to teach in music classroom. The characteristics of music lessons are as follows: first, it basically requires active participation of the learners for learning activities. For the next, individual learning and cooperative learning are all applied in music class. The third, a range of the level of learners is wide. It is possible to take an advanced learning, if the flipped classroom are adapting to music curriculum. This study examined the history and meaning of flipped classroom, presented characteristics of music curriculum, and suggested a level of music lessons adapting a flipped learning to music classroom. Through this research, implications for the music class adapting flipped learning are drawn as follows; a learner-centered music lesson, a circulating process for music activities, a extension and change of learning environment.
