The paradigm of 21st century education focuses on cultivating talented person for future. In each subject
including music, various teaching methods are performed and studied to develop thinking skill, problem
solving ability and creativity, which are core competencies of future talented person. The flipped classroom,
inverting the general aspect of classroom teaching, can suggest an effective way to teach in music
classroom. The characteristics of music lessons are as follows: first, it basically requires active participation
of the learners for learning activities. For the next, individual learning and cooperative learning are all
applied in music class. The third, a range of the level of learners is wide. It is possible to take an
advanced learning, if the flipped classroom are adapting to music curriculum. This study examined the history and meaning of flipped classroom, presented characteristics of music curriculum, and suggested a
level of music lessons adapting a flipped learning to music classroom. Through this research, implications
for the music class adapting flipped learning are drawn as follows; a learner-centered music lesson, a
circulating process for music activities, a extension and change of learning environment.
