This article aims to consider the political conflict in and after the recent impeachment in Southkorea
carefully. The study focused on the political understanding of Candlelight Rally and the Tageukgi
Rally. These rallies continued for 5 months, from October 24, 2016 to March 19, 2017. We found various
issues about both rallies on the online news articles. Then we compared and analyzed the perception of the
people who attended both rallies by using Named Entity Recognition. Political Party, Cheongwadae (the
Blue House) and Chaebol were blamed for the Park Geunhye-Choi Soonsil Gate by people who took part
in Candlelight Rally. However, people who took part in Tageukgi Rally have said that the opposition party should be behind the Gate. Candlelight Rally proceeded peacefully and participants paid more attention to
regime change. However, Tageukgi Rally participants claimed that they were patriots and paid more
attention to overturning the impeachment.
