본 연구는 D광역시 K대학병원에 내원하는 폐암 환자를 대상으로 간호사가 기록한 상담일지의 내 용을 분석하는 서술적 질적 연구이다. 총 168명의 폐암 환자가 2016년 1월 1일부터 2016년 12월 31일 까지 상담을 의뢰하였고 상담건수는 총 484건이 분석에 이용되었다. 분석방법은 Patton의 내용분석 방법을 이용하였다. 분석 결과, 폐암환자의 간호요구로는 대범주로 신체적 요구, 정보적 요구, 정서적 요구로 분석되었고 소범주로 증상관리, 진료예약 및 설명, 검사예약 및 설명, 항암제 부작용 교육, 수 액주입경로관리, 식이교육, 영양교육, 수혈부작용 교육, 대체식품복용관리, 불안완화, 스트레스관리로 분석되었다. 건강관리자의 정보제공에도 불구하고 폐암 환자의 간호요구는 치료에 대한 정보적 요구 가 대부분을 차지하였다. 본 연구결과는 치료를 받고 있는 폐암 환자들의 간호요구를 이해하는 데 도 움을 줄 수 있을 것이고 연구결과를 토대로 폐암 환자 상담 프로토콜 개발의 기초자료로 사용될 수 있을 것이며 나아가 폐암 환자의 재원기간을 단축하고 환자의 의료지출 비용을 절감할 수 있을 것이 다.
This study was conducted to analyze the counseling contents of patients with lung cancer. A total of 168 patients with lung cancer received counseling from nurses and 480 counseling data were used for analysis. Nursing needs of patients with lung cancer were identified from this data, which included physical, informational, and emotional needs. Physical nursing needs included symptom management, informational nursing needs were those of appointment and description of medical care, schedule and description of tests, education of side effects of anti-cancer drugs, infusion injection path management, dietary education, nutrition education, education of side effects of transfusion, and alternative-food management, and emotional nursing needs were mitigation of anxiety and, stress management. Results of this study can help understand the nursing needs of patients with lung cancer and recommend the development of a counselling protocol to meet the patient’s needs, which in turn will shorten their length of hospitalization and reduce their medical costs.
