이 연구에서는 학교에서의 바람직한 인성 교육을 위한 한 방안으로서 건강한 학교 생태계의 구 축을 제시하였고, 그에 따라 건강한 학교 생태계 구축을 위한 세부적인 요인들 중 학교 교육 공동 체 형성의 요인을 중점적으로 살펴 보았다. 즉 학교 인성 교육과 학교의 생태학적 환경의 문제, 및 인성 교육을 위한 건강한 학교 생태계 구성의 문제를 고찰해 보고, 이를 위한 대안으로서 학교 인성 교육에 기여할 수 있는 학교 교육 공동체 형성의 문제를 초등학교와 중등학교 차원에서 그 중요한 요인들을 살펴 보았다. 선행연구들에서 밝혀진 공통된 요인들은 학교 구성원들 간의 돌봄 과 배려의 분위기, 학교 교육에 대한 민주적인 참여, 학교 교육에 대한 공유된 목표와 비전 및 구 성원 상호 간의 연대적 협력 등이었다. 학교 교육 공동체의 참여로 인한 인성 교육은 학생들의 자 율성과 책임감을 향상시키고, 민주적인 참여 의식을 높이게 되며, 이것은 나아가 학교, 가정과 지 역사회에서의 배려와 돌봄에 기초한 인성 교육의 기초가 될 수 있을 것이다.
The purpose of this study was to explore the construction of the healthy school ecology for the Humanity Education through schooling. Based on the antecedent studies, the major element of the construction of desirable school ecology for the Humanity Education in school was to build the educational community in school based on the cooperation of the school administrator, teachers, students parents, and community. And the major elements for building educational community in the elementary school and secondary school were relational care, democratic participation, shared vision, and solidarity-based cooperation. The implication of this study was that building educational community in the school as an element of the healthy school ecology could encourage the autonomy, responsibility, and the consiousness of democracy of the students, and it could develop the humanity of each student based on the caring and empathy.
