본 연구는 그림책에 기초한 극화활동이 유아들의 정서지능 하위요인들에 미치는 영향을 알아봄으로써 정서교육프로그램의 활동으로의 극화활동을 제안하였다. 본 연구의 정서지능 하위요인은 Salovey 와 Mayer의 이론을 근거로 하였으며 그림책을 기초로 유아들이 극화활동을 계획, 구성, 평가 해 봄으로써 정서지능의 변화를 알아보았다. 연구 가설에 대한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 그림책에 기초한 극화활동을 경험한 유아들은 그렇지 않은 유아들에 보다 자신과 타인의 감정을 인식하고 표현하는데 긍정적인 효과를 보였다. 둘째, 그림책에 기초한 극화활동을 경험한 유아들은 그렇지 않은 유아들 보다 자신의 정서를 조절하는데 긍정적인 효과를 보였다. 셋째, 그림책에 기초한 극화활동을 경험한 유아들은 그렇지 않은 유아들 보다 대인과의 관계 형성 및 문제를 해결하는데 긍정적인 효과를 보였다. 이 연구 결과를 통해 유아가 타인과 협의, 표현, 평가 할 수 있는 극화활동을 정서교육프로그램 활동으로 활용 할 것을 제안하고자 한다.
The purpose of this study was to find the effects of dramatic play based on picture books on young children\'s Emotional Intelligence. For such purpose the hypothesis for research were established as follows ; 1. Dramatic play based on picture books will be positive effect on young children\'s appraisal & expression of self-emotion. 2. Dramatic play based on picture books will be positive effect on young children\'s self-management of emotion. 3. Dramatic play based on picture books will be positive effect on young children\'s empathy & social skill. The research plan ; The subjects were 51 children (experimental group：25 ; control group：26) of 5 years old of 2 classes in C kindergarten located in Seoul, Kwang Gin-Gu. In this research used the meature was \'The Emotional Intelligence test\' of Mayor & Salovey (1996) adapted by Byoung Rae, Lee. (1997) The dramatic play applied to the experiment group were 10 picture books containing various characters, short conversations, repeated scence and short play time. The experiment picture books used in this research are \"The preferable picture books for infants\" (Yang seo won,1997) and the preceding researches. The experiment process is composed of pre-test, test and post-test. The lecture are given to only the experimental group 2 times per week during five weeks in a way of the teacher read and talk about picture book and then do dramatic play. The children of the experimental group participated in dramatic play based on picture books while the control group didn\'t it. The collected data through comparing pre-test and post-test between the experimental group and the control group were analyzed by using SPSS program：two independent t-test. The result of this study are summarized as follows ; 1. Dramatic play based on picture books positive effect on young children\'s appraisal & expression of self-emotion. 2. Dramatic play based on picture books positive effect on young children\'s self-management of emotion. 3. Dramatic play based on picture books positive effect on young children\'s empathy & social skill. This dramatic play based on picture books is effective for the improvement of young children\'s Emotional Intelligence.
