본 연구는 산업대학의 교수들에게 멘토링 프로그램을 개발 적용하여 교수들의 수업에 대한 인식 변화와 강의평가 결과에 의한 수업개선 효과성을 분석하고자 하는 연구 이다. 이를 위해 산업대학 40명의 교수들을 대상으로 2인1조로 편성하여 한 학기 동안 수업과 과련하여 수업계획, 수업전개, 교수능력, 수업관리, 수업평가에 대한 교수요령(teaching tip)을 매주 2개씩 배부하고, 이를 중심으로 수업개선에 대한 포트폴리오를 작성하도록 하였다. 본 연구 결과, 첫째, 교수들은 수업개선에 대한 욕구를 가지고 있으며, 다양한 기회가 주어지기를 희망하고 있었다. 둘째, 멘토링 프로그램 과정에서 교수들은 수업개선에 대한 인식의 변화가 두드러졌다. 셋째, 교수들은 멘토링 프로그램을 통해서 강의평가에 의한 수업개선 효과성도 향상될 수 있다는 가능성을 보여주었다. 넷째, 교수들은 동료교수와 수업에 대해 상호협의를 하면서 ‘동료문화’를 형성하는 계기를 갖게 되었다.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of the instruction which uses mentoring program in industrial universities. The sample for this study was 40 professors in an industry university. They were grouped in pairs and participated in the mentoring program for instruction improvement. The contents of Mentoring program consist of instruction plan, instruction process teaching capacity, instruction management, and instruction evaluation. The results of the study shows that: ① It is found that professors need to have opportunity for instruction improvement. ② There are some changes of recognition on instruction plan, instruction process, teaching ability, teaching management except instruction evaluation. ③ Professors who are relatively low in instruction assessment raise their score to a significant high degree after joining the mentoring program. ④ Most of the professors realize the mentoring program is effective for professors to form \"Educational Fellowship Culture\".
