The purpose of this study is to carry out interpersonal communication training on hospital coordinators and find out whether it is effective in improving their interpersonal communication and social problem solving ability.
For the purpose, 20 hospital coordinators working at local clinics in Busan were recruited, randomly selected and placed into an experimental group and a control group 10 by 10. The data were treated with SPSS-PC+10.0 program, in which standard deviation and mean were got and t-test was carried out on the difference of the pre-and post-tests, and that of pre-test, post-test and follow-up of the experimental and control groups. As a result of this study, This study has a meaning that Interpersonal Communication Training Program for hospital coordinators was conducted and its effect was verified for the first time. Second, as the Interpersonal Communication Training Program showed positive effect on hospital coordinators, an academical frame was prepared so that it could be used as an educational or re-educational program for hospital coordinators. Third, the improvement of educational quality for hospital coordinators will contribute not only to upgrading personal quality and increasing the quality of medical service but also to increasing capability as an expert with vision and securing professionalism as a hospital worker. At last, there are still restrictions that a test tool should be developed, the number and method of the program to be conducted should be diversified, comparative analysis is impossible because of the lack of the preceding studies, the result of experiment done on the minority is to be generalized, etc.
