This study is designed to investigate the e-learning experiences and desires of disabled persons in Busan area. The study results will be used to prepare for the e-learning environments and to develop e-learning programs for disabled persons.
125 persons were participated for this survey, and collected data were analyzed by SPSS WIN programs.
The results are as follows; half of the subjects do not have incomes, and quarter of them do not have jobs. Over 69% of subjects possess computers at home, but recognitions of e-learning and experiences of participating e-learning program are very low. Subjects want to take computer-related programs or assistance programs helpful for special education.
They wanted to get specific information from e-learning centers, and also, to get education for computer literacy. The subjects wanted on-line job consulting as well as taking e-learning programs, and over half of them thought that e-learning will be helpful for get a job.
With this results, it is emphasized that the life-long education centers should develop e-learning programs on the demands of disabled persons.
